These are your girls. The girls who’ve watched you grow up. The girls who’ve watched you fall in love. The girls who’ve helped you plan your day. The girls who’ve always had your back. This is special time set aside with them to get ready together, dance, drink, and hug. You’ll look back on these pictures for years to come, remembering how fun your wedding morning was. Remembering the nerves and the happy tears while you were getting ready together.
The first step is choosing a getting ready location with lots of space for everyone to spread out and do their hair and makeup. Choose a hotel or Airbnb with lots of natural light, fun textures, and decor that matches your wedding vibe.
Next, you’ll want fun and unique details for the photos. Consider having the girls wear matching PJs or robes. You can wear cute sunglasses or cheers mimosas for a pic. I loved how we incorporated disco balls, the vintage phone, and newspapers for this wedding morning. But we didn’t stop there. The bride got IN the tub for some of the pics!
And finally, if you want lots of unique getting ready photos with your girls and have all the little details captured, you need to have enough time for these shots. I recommend allotting about 2 hours of coverage to the getting ready portion of your day so I can capture flat lay shots, you drinking mimosas with your girls, and you putting on your dress.
